We partner with our Nurses at Medical City McKinney Job Summary and Qualifications The essential functions of the Registered Nurse position include: + Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act + Use therapeutic communication in daily practice + Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment + Plan, implement and direct care using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of the individual patient + Provide emotional support of the patient and significant others to make informed choices regarding healthcare + Promote an environment that treats patients and families with dignity, respect and appreciation of their lifestyle ,religion and culture + Maintain quality, age specific care for newborn, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients as assigned + Proactively advocate for patients and consistently education patients/families throughout the continuum of care + Delegate tasks to the appropriate level of staff + Provide supervision of new employees, vocational nurses, nurse assistants, student nurses, nurse externs/interns What qualifications you will need: + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + (RN) Registered Nurse + Associate Degree + Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date + Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Benefits Medical City McKinney, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
