No County Albany Street Address State Street and Washington Ave City Albany State NY Zip Code 12210 Duties Description The New York State Senate Majority Conference is currently seeking an energetic, astute, diplomatic, and dedicated individual to fill a full-time position as a Legislative Operations Aide at the State Capitol in Albany.The duties and responsibilities in this dynamic role include, but are not limited to the following:u2022Planning, organizing and scheduling daily appointments and prioritiesu2022Providing administrative support for the Senate Majority Conference on matters related to Senate legislative procedures and committee operations, while anticipating any issues that may arise and identifying appropriate solutionsu2022Preparing and distributing sensitive briefing materials for the Majority Conferenceu2022Logging and tracking various legislative requests, attendance at office events, and other datau2022Organizing, completing, and filing necessary paperwork for various staff, such as travel documentsu2022Receiving and reconciling invoices and filing hard and digital copiesu2022Following up with legislative offices and staff (membersu2019 offices, Majority Counsel and Finance staff) to confirm committee meetings, briefing materials, appointments, and cancellationsu2022Ordering and replenishing office suppliesu2022Other duties as instructed and/or necessary to help keep the office performing at an efficient level in a high-speed environmentu2022Log in all incoming and outgoing mail and incoming telephone calls Minimum Qualifications To move forward, you must have:u2022Two years of administrative support or legislative experienceu2022Proficiency at Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Calendaru2022A valid driveru2019s licenseu2022A high school degree or equivalentCandidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that can include long hours and late nights in a highly dynamic environment.Additionally, the idea candidate will possess the following competencies:u2022A demonstrated professional and customer-focused attitude/approachu2022Exemplary organizational skills and focus on detailu2022Ability to assimilate new information readilyu2022Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skillsu2022Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, time-sensitive tasks simultaneouslyu2022Strong desire and knowledge of performing administrative duties Additional Comments Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to .
