You will be the firstface patients see when they comethrough the door, allowing you to make that great first impression. You will be their first point of contact and the one to assist with problem solving when needed. This role will allow you to create a foundation in healthcare and explore opportunities at Cleveland Clinic. Your fellow caregivers will encourage you to enhance your skills and explore advanced Customer Service, Clerical or Clinical positions in the future.A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 3:30PM or 8:00AM - 4:30PM.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.Assign tasks and monitor performance of and assist in training patient service representatives.Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance appraisals and recommend corrective counseling.Develop, implement and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.Adjust employees, patients and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.Produce reports as needed.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School Diploma or GED and two years of Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent, including interacting with patients, physicians and other departments on a problem resolution basis OR three years of external outpatient scheduling experience, including resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others OR Associate Degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's DegreePhysical Requirements:Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $16.47Maximum hourly: $23.61The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
