Job Title: Maintenance & Automation EngineerLocation: Coldwater, MI, USASalary: $65,520-82,800Position Type: Full Time (Permanent hire)Industry: Automotive ManufacturingSummaryThe Maintenance & Automation Engineer will join the team to support the reliability, optimization, and continuous improvement of our production systems, including Robotics, CNC machinery, and PLC-based automation.Essential DutiesPerform diagnostics, corrective repairs, and functional testing on robotic cells, CNC machines, and PLC-controlled equipment.Execute root cause analysis (RCA) on mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.Implement improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime, throughput, and process stability.Support and refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.Provide technical coaching to operators and maintenance personnel on equipment function, troubleshooting, and safety.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve system issues, update documentation, and support process upgrades.Qualifications High school diploma + 2 years technical experience or associate degree in an engineering/technical field.2-4 years experience in maintenance, automation, or industrial systems support.Working knowledge of robotics integration, CNC machine operation, PLC troubleshooting/programming, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial electrical systems, sensors, pneumatics, and control technologies.Ability to read/interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.Benefits: 401(k), 401(k) matching, Dental insurance, Health insurance, Health savings account, Life insurance, Paid time off, Vision insuranceSchedule: 6:30a - 3:00pAbout Us: Engineering Recruitment Solutions (ERS) is a staffing agency that specializes in Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, Automotive, Tech & Engineering Sales.
