Tasks• Coordination and execution of required customer activities/needs including on-site visits, giving cost estimates, organize parts and shipments • Installation, technical instruction and demonstrations of operation of new machines • Maintenance and repair of Marbach machines at Marbach plants/facilities • Audits to identify areas of process improvement and best practice strategies. • Maintain local machines, equipment and records. • Ensure Marbach America is OSHA-compliant for machine guarding and LOTO for all machines, equipment and employee training • Observe market & industry trends/developments. • Assist sales and customer service in addressing technical questions. • Create & maintain customer specs relevant to machines & products. • Ability to use calibration tools to properly ensure tool tolerances. • Required to understand and use safety equipment reflective of the customer environment. • Able to organize and complete assigned tasks, alone or with help. • Treat all Marbach information and customer information in a confidential manner. • Inform supervisor of problems or issues which affect the companies’ ability to meet customer requirements. • Understanding of the Marbach Quality Control system. • Read and understand work order paperwork. • Ability to repair and modify tooling in the field based upon trouble shooting requirements. • Assist in the machine training process for new employees as well as required by customers. • Able to independently resolve customer issues/needs with machines and come up with strategic solutions to better serve customer base. Physical requirements: • Able to lift and handle wood, metal pieces and tooling up to 50 lbs. • Able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment. Preferred Skills • Communication & Leadership skills • Flexibility with travel (foreign & domestic) • Ability to travel to Germany for training • Preferred Languages- English, German, Spanish • Successfully completed your technical training in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering or hold comparable qualification • Experience in servicing and troubleshooting CNC-controlled machines • Have sound hardware and software skills and are particularly adept at using MS Office • Able to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot 24V DC and 120-480V AC electrical systems • Efficient work organization • Highly developed customer and service-oriented way of thinking and acting • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Logical and analytical approach, and good problem solving skills for quick solutions • Able to work as part of a team
