Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Tech II to join our Hospital System Pharmacy team at Bridgton Hospital!This is aFull-time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligiblepositionCompensation: Your experience and dedication to providing top quality patient care is valued at Central Maine Healthcare, and that is reflected in our competitive, experienced based pay rates!Position Summary:The Pharmacy Tech II position reports to the Director of Pharmacy and or a Registered Pharmacist. An ideal candidate should have a pharmacy technician background, as well as previous pharmacy or hospital experience.The preference is that the person is Nationally Certified and holds a Maine state license or the ability to obtain that specific state license.Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients.Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications.Education and Experience:High school degree or equivalentCurrent technician certification and required licensingPrevious experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferredACPE or ASHP accredited course in compounding sterile preparations preferredCustomer service skillsTraining and proficiency in age specific therapies for hospital patients.Bridgton Region: Bridgton, Maine captures a perfect slice of lakeside beauty. located in Maine’s Lake Region, the town is nestled among many of the state’s most scenic lakes, mountains and forests, offering a variety of year-round outdoor recreation activities, as well as easy access to some of the area’s most significant historical and cultural sites.
