Change diapers, groom, and ensure that their clothes are changed several times a day. Tending to the general and basic needs of the children while providing supervision to ensure their safety in day-to-day activities. Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities, including free play, arts and crafts, games, math, and reading. In case of illness or injury, providing the necessary medical attention, for example, closely monitoring the children's symptoms and health concerns, taking their temperature, and administering medications as directed. Collaborating closely with the children's parents, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Instructing the children on proper health and personal care habits, such as diet, exercise, and toilet behavior, and assisting as needed. Assigning chores as appropriate to teach the children responsibility, self-control, and self-confidence. Creating a safe environment for the children by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries. Performing housekeeping tasks related to the childrens care, such as cooking, doing laundry, folding clothes, and doing the dishes. Cleaning up (vacuuming/sweeping/wiping down) areas the children utilize. Organizing the childrens closets, drawers, and toys. Duties are subject to change as the children grow.Requires a High School Diploma, or GED, or foreign equivalent, and 24 months of experience with children in any occupation. No domestic or international travel is required. However, a change of work location to a different MSA within the U.S. may occur in the future due to a potential residential relocation by the employer.
