Maintenance Mechanic

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Truck and Equipment)Location: New Castle PAHours: Monday to Friday 7 am to 5:30 pm and possible Saturdays Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repairs: Inspect, diagnose, and perform minor to moderate repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. Support the maintenance team with scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. Parts & Inventory Management: Source and order parts, materials, and supplies from approved vendors. Maintain accurate records of inventory, warranties, and usage. Track and control parts costs and ensure timely replenishment. Develop relationships with suppliers to secure cost-effective and reliable parts procurement.Administrative & Coordination Duties: Assist with scheduling and coordinating equipment downtime to minimize operational disruption. Communicate with drivers and supervisors about vehicle conditions, repair status, and parts availability.Qualifications 3 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or similar role. Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems. Proven experience in parts ordering, inventory control, and vendor management.
