Position Information Position Title Geography Instructor (Continuous Adjunct Pool) Position Description POSITION SUMMARY:This is a POOL position. Application materials for this part-time position are accepted on an on-going basis. As openings for temporary, part-time geography instructors become available, candidates may be selected from this pool of applicants. Required Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural background, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff.ANDMaster’s degree in geography OR Bachelor’s degree in geography AND Master’s degree in geology, history, meteorology, or oceanography OR the equivalent OR see interdisciplinary TERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES:Master’s in the interdisciplinary areaORMaster’s in one of the disciplines included in theinterdisciplinary area and upper division or graduatecourse work in at least one other constituentdiscipline.(NOTE: The Interdisciplinary Studies discipline isprovided to allow for those cases where it is locallydetermined that a course must be taught by someonewith qualifications that exceed a single discipline.The constituent disciplines can include any disciplinesfound in the Master’s List.)
