This position is eligible for full-time benefits including medical and dental insurance. Applicants do not need previous experience or training/certification as a medical assistant but do need to meet the minimum requirements for the position.Other part-time and full-time opportunities may be available$3,000 HIRING BONUS for eligible candidatesJob Description:As a provider assistant at HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater, you are responsible for a variety of patient care duties and other related duties in the clinical setting that include documentation of medical information, administration of medications/vaccinations and treatments, as well as obtaining medical histories, vital signs, etc.The provider assistant assists the healthcare providers in the timely delivery of services per physician/RN direction and according to Clinic policies and procedures.All programs and activities are designed to support the short- and long-term mission, vision, goals, and objectives of HealthPartners Clinic Stillwater.Responsibilities:Interview patients and document basic medical historyTake vital signs and document findings in the patient recordReview annual wellness questionnaire with appropriate patientsAdminister immunizationsMonitor messages and relay clinician responses via phone callsEnter orders for laboratory servicesRequired Qualifications:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with or without certification (AAMA or AMT) ORCurrent LPN (MN and WI license required) ORGraduate of an accredited EMT program plus current EMT license (national and Minnesota)PLUScurrent CPR certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossPreferred Qualifications:One year medial assistant or LPN experience in a clinic.Experience with Epic electronic medical record software.All candidates should have excellent verbal and written skills; excellent customer services skills; tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, and care team members; An ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in all interactions; Understanding of patient education needs, able to effectively share information with patient, family members and care team members as needed; Ability to learn, retain information regarding patient care procedures; Ability to plan, prioritize and complete delegated tasks; Ability to remain calm in stressful situation; Experience with Epic preferred.
