BayCareu2019s Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center , a 5-star CMS-rated facility, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) to join our interdisciplinary rehab team. The PTA will assist in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury in a post-acute inpatient setting. Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities: + Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to improve patientsu2019 mobility, strength, and functional independence. + Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices under PT supervision. + Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist. + Document treatments and patient responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. + Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and techniques to support continued recovery. + Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated care. + Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Requirements : + BLS (Basic Life Support) + PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) + Or PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Temporary and licensure within 6 months + Required Associate's Physical Therapy + Preferred 1 year Physical Therapy Assistant Facility: BayCare Health System, Physical Therapy-MP REHAB Location: Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center- Belleair, FL Status: Full Time, Exempt: No Shift Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m./Days Weekend Work: Every Other On Call: No How often will this team member be working remotely?
