SUMMARYParagon is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to support the growing Pacific Northwest operations. Primarily responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of environmental remediation projects to meet the cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and bidding of all major projects, including managing small, medium, and large, complex projects for both public and private sectors. This is a technical position requiring a degree in engineering or geology or similar degree pertaining to environmental remediation.Applicants will be contacted via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.u2022 Implement office policies and establish standards and procedures; measure results against standards; make necessary adjustments.u2022 Manage employee schedules and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts as they arise.u2022 Establish team atmosphere through leadership and employee development. Assist in developing new clients. Monitor quality control, safety, and efficiency for projects. Review documents to address technical issues. Occasional travel to jobsites will be required. Estimate self-performed/subcontractor work, pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs. Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, bid tabulations, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, job costs system, etc. into unit cost, man-hour, and crew production figures. Recommend vendors and subcontractors for various projects, discussing and obtaining appropriate quotations in coordination with the purchasing department. Interface with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to provide reports and ensure quality deliverables. Perform or coordinate detailed quantity takeoffs, assembling direct cost estimates and analyzing alternate construction methods/resources to determine and improve cost effectiveness. Track awarded contracts with EACs as required through review of cost reports Support program management Coordinate, supervise and review work of assigned project personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness. Lead and support business development and proposal preparation.QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Experience directing, training, and motivating field personnel.u2022 Must be able to obtain clearance to access military bases and operate motor vehicles on federal facilities.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristicsu2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication.u2022 Advanced computer skills.u2022 Experience with project scheduling (Microsoft Project or Primavera).
