Installation Technician I

We currently have anInstallation Technician opening for team-oriented individuals possessingvocational training in electronics or electromechanical engineering. Inthis role, you will be responsible for providing service on ST productsat customer sites. The position provides customer contact for allpost-installation problems on security systems and equipment, as wellas, special project work, when needed. Responsibilities Installsintrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems. Runelectrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces,which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs. Complete allwiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that securitysystems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements. Assists and interfaces with the Installation Team Lead or ProjectManager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timelydelivery of equipment. Conducts tests to ensure all newly installedsystems and component devices are operational. Troubleshoots newsystem installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure systemmeets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurancerequirements. Presents a professional image both in personal andvehicle appearance. Performs work assignments in a safe manner andwithin specified cost limits. Promotes, builds, and maintains goodcustomer relations and assists with contract retention. Maintainscompany propriety and documentation in accordance with establishedpolicies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner;adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and proceduresincluding all safety requirements. Keeps abreast of changes and newdevelopments in products and technology. Attends and completes trainingprograms as requested Minimum Requirements MUST HOLD a minimum of 1-2years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm,access control, and CCTV security systems. High School Diploma orequivalent Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, orcomputer systems preferred NICET Certification preferred IP Videoand IT experience preferred Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. inheight Carry items up to 75 pounds Ability to work on-call on arotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
