Job Description

Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Electrical Planner position will require Green Badge Level 2 qualifications, including successful completion of an ePHQ, a full background screening, and FFD testing. This role involves access to various areas inside and outside the protected plant zones as specified on the UAR, with access levels varying by individual clearance. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA. Pay rate: $53.68 - $79.65Benefits: Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40-hours worked (sick leave can be used after 90-days of employment) EAP: Employee Assistance Program Benefit options: Medical, HSA, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Voluntary Long-Term Disability, Voluntary Critical Illness, Voluntary Accident, 401k (eligible after one year and 1,000 hours worked - employer match up to 4%) Other benefits include the following: Calm App, Access Perks Responsibilities: Plan and prepare work instructions for electrical and contract maintenance projects, including modifications Select, approve, or recommend procurement of materials for work package execution Conduct field walkdowns to analyze activities and improve work package quality Collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work package issues Define required procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials for planned work packages Facilitate package preparation by managing RWP submissions, impairments, operability statements, ALARA tasks, regulatory documentation, and quality points Verify work instructions align with station procedures, NEC codes, and standards Approve and review work packages to ensure safety, quality, and technical rigor, including 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to enhance work package quality and ensure compliance with standards Manage project elements with system planners or contractors for detailed package preparation Participate in meetings to support scheduling, troubleshooting, maintenance risks, and system interaction reviews Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in a technical area (e.g., maintenance, engineering, operations, maintenance planning) OR an associate’s degree and 8 years of experience in a technical area OR ahigh school diploma or GED, technical training or equivalent apprenticeship program, and 6 years of experience in a technical area OR a high school diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in a technical area Educational experience can be substituted year for year for work experience Two years of nuclear environment experience is highly desired but not mandatory Effective communication skills, both written and oral Strong computer skills Technical problem-solving abilities Capability to obtain Planner I qualification Familiarity with nuclear power plant work management, planning processes, and safety regulations Understanding of ALARA requirements and nuclear security operations Time management and prioritization skills to improve reliability Ability to meet commitments, build strong working relationships, and make informed decisions Goal-setting abilities using metrics for follow-up and measurement Proficiency in technical report writing, trending, and process improvement
