The HTST (High Temperature Short Time) Operator is responsible for the preparation of raw milk to be used in cheese production.How Agropur Invests in you:Starting pay of $27.00/hrNight Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Work only 14 days in a month!Two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00$1.50 Shift Differential + Double Time on SundayMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long-term Disability Insurance401(k) with up to a 7% company match3 Weeks PTO, available on day 17 paid holidays and 2 floating holidaysPaid parental leaveAdvancement OpportunitiesHealthy work/life balanceTuition ReimbursementWhat this role is about:Pasteurize, standardize and condense milk in preparation for use in cheese production.Monitor raw milk flow into balance tank, through pasteurizing heaters, through separators to separate cream from the milk, to evaporators for condensing and then ultimately to horizontal cheese vats for use in cheese production.Regulate factors such as milk solids, cream fats, and temperature making adjustments based on daily production.Take frequent readings and log upwards of twenty variables.Operate Clean In Place (CIP) cycles.Understand interaction between computer and machinery, troubleshooting problems as they arise.Clean and sanitize all parts of HTST department including walls, floors, and equipment.What you need to be a Pasteurizer Operator:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum three (3) years of related experience required. Especially in food municate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues.Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Where you’ll be working:Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following facilities: Le Sueur Cheese, Le Sueur Ingredients, Le Sueur Protein Research Center and the Le Sueur Business Office. Our cheese facility produces various types of cheese, including cheddar, monterey jack, asiago, fontina, parmesan and romano. Our ingredients facility runs various whey streams, including; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80) and both pharma and food-grade lactose.Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year.
