Description JOB TITLE: E-COMMERCE SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: RETAIL STATUS: FULL-TIME SUPERVISOR: E-COMMERCE SUPERVISOR or BUSINESS MANAGER GENERAL STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. JOB SUMMARY: The Ecommerce Specialist will be responsible for hands-on-listing to expand our online merchandise, as well as optimizing content for increased visibility and sales.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:u2022 Create and optimize product listings on our ecommerce platform.u2022 Utilize best practices for title, description, images, and other relevant content to enhance visibility and conversion rates.u2022 Strategically identify opportunities to increase the quantity of merchandise available online.u2022 Regularly analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.u2022 Use data-driven insights to optimize product listings and recommend new product additions.u2022 Select high-value merchandise located at the Center/Store for sale on the online platform. u2022 Photograph and present merchandise in a visually appealing and informative manner.u2022 Continuously assess and improve the online shopping experience to enhance customer satisfaction.u2022 Meet daily posting quotas and weekly and monthly sales targets determined by the Supervisor.u2022 Demonstrate efficiency, accuracy, and high productivity through effective workload management.u2022 Display an eagerness to acquire new skills and grow within the organization. u2022 Actively partner with the District Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and team members in the day-to-day operation of the ecommerce business. QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent.u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills of the English language.u2022 Excellent computer and technology skills, with a focus on Windows Operating Systems (10 or higher) and all Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc.).u2022 Knowledge of online selling platforms and proficiency in Photoshop is preferred.u2022 Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using analytic tools.u2022 Familiarity with SEO best practices.u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.u2022 Ability to work under pressure and multitask.u2022 Ability to type at least 40 words per minute. u2022 Experience in identifying high-quality and designer brand merchandise.u2022 Must have 2-4 years of customer service and/or retail experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: u2022 Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.u2022 Ability to grasp, push, pull, and move heavy objects such as household and office furniture, packages, and all other bulk items.u2022 Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.u2022 Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.u2022 Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vison requirements due to extensive computer work.
