Engineering Project Manager

SUMMARY: The Engineering Project Manager leads and supports a project team in building automation systems based on customer-supplied requests and specifications. This role guides a team of mechanical, electrical and controls engineers with the design of new products and/or applications, guides staff, and oversees the management of automated engineering projects including customer relationship and change order management. JOB DUTIES Manages Automation Engineering Projects from initial purchase order and scope of work definition to system delivery and installation. Works with team to review customer requirements, system drawings and specifications. Assists with the design of systems and/or applications that meet customer specifications. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Manages design engineering activities including product design, system configuration and project management. Manages a team of professional employees. Supports manufacturing and production through process development, process improvement, test development and other quality engineering activities. May be responsible for purchasing and procurement. Performs other duties as assigned. Leads and supports a production team in building projects based on customer-supplied drawings and specifications. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) to (7) years of related automation experience or an equivalent combination.
