JOB DESCRIPTION The Settlement / Production Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of ticketed and non-ticketed events, including sports games, concerts, and special events, from pre-event budgeting through post-event settlement, analysis, and general ledger reconciliation. This position partners cross-functionally with operations, talent, production, and finance teams to ensure accurate, real-time financial reporting and to support data-driven decision-making. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare pre-event settlement estimates and detailed budgets in collaboration with operations and booking teams. Manage event settlements during and after each event, working with cross-functional teams to capture all revenue and expense details accurately. Execute settlements promptly and process payments to promoters, artists, or vendors per contract terms. Generate post-event flash reports within hours, summarizing results against expectations. Record and reconcile event revenue streams including ticketing, rent, food & beverage, merchandise, sponsorship, and ancillary income. Track and analyze event variances, identifying key cost drivers and opportunities to improve profitability. Support monthly close by reconciling event accounts to the general ledger and ensuring all related journal entries and accruals are complete. Maintain and reconcile prepaid and deferred revenue accounts. Prepare supporting documentation for close reviews and audits. Build and maintain dashboards to monitor event profitability and budget performance by venue or category. Present concise financial summaries and insights to operations and executive leadership as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + years of general accounting experience. Proficiency with financial systems (D FO preferred) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in sports, entertainment, or live events environment preferred. Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. Must be available to work on-site and during event hours when needed.
