Job Description Centralia College is creating a pool of qualified applicants to teach transfer level anatomy and physiology courses to freshmen and sophomores on a part-time basis. The college's need for part-time instructors varies from quarter to quarter.The college offers both on-campus and online courses. An on-campus assignment requires face-to-face instruction two to four days a week, Monday through Thursday, in Centralia, WA. Online assignments are typically taught asynchronously, and the college uses the Canvas learning management system. Additional in-person opportunities may be available at the college's satellite campus in Morton, WA, or within correctional and juvenile detention facilities in our area. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Anatomy and Physiology instructors teach both lectures and labs. The current need is forasynchronous online lectures with a face-to-face evening lab on-campus in Centralia, WA.2. Create and deliver teaching materials that align with the course curriculum and learning outcomes.3. Place student success at the center of their courses.4. Engage with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to create a community of learners.5. Seek opportunities for teaching and learning excellence. Qualifications Master's or higher degree in Anatomy and/or Physiology or closely related fieldTeaching experience in delivering lecture and lab in A&P or closely related course; community college level preferred.Ability to safely work with, demonstrate, and instruct students in the use of laboratory tools and equipment commonly used in biology (i.e. microscope, dissection).Ability to adapt teaching to various student learning styles. Preferred Qualifications Previous college-level teaching experiencePrevious curriculum development experienceFamiliarity with Learning Management System (Canvas)
