Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space ,Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a SeniorQuality Manager to join our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) quality team located in Berkeley, MO!This Senior Quality leader position is a key member of the BDS St. Louis Fabrication Quality leadership team. , Selected leader will interface with executive and senior leadership across the St. Louis site, BDS organization, divisions, programs and functions. This position is looking for a detail oriented, highly organized change agent to lead NDT Frist Line Leaders, NDT Technical team, and support the wider BDS NDT skill integration, compliance / risk mitigation, and skill workforce planning.Successful candidates will need the following skills and experience:Ability to serve as a strategic decision makerAbility to understand big-picture and inter-relationshipsLeadership experience with integrated technical requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDirect experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with functional stakeholdersEffective change leader; Ability to build an environment of inclusion, transparency and trustAbility and skill to effectively engage and advise executives and senior leaders within the business, thoughtfully challenging leadership when necessaryAbility and skill to organize complex details with developed recommendations for executive consumptionWorking knowledge of quality processes and tools, i.e. Root Cause Corrective Action, Control of Nonconforming MaterialProficient with utilizing Microsoft Office SuitePosition Responsibilities:Manage a team of FLL and Technical NDT personnel, fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement to drive high performance and operational excellence.Acquire and manage resources effectively to ensure inspections meet all customer and technical requirements while supporting and adhering to committed delivery dates.Develop and evaluate NDT cost and price proposals, along with comprehensive business cases, to support informed decision-making and ensure alignment with BDS Fabrication Quality strategic objectives and support business partnerâs needs.Keeps stakeholders informed by effectively communicating business vision, strategies, and program or project status. Actively conducts and participates in leadership meetings, delivers impactful presentations, and listens attentively to employee concerns and suggestions to foster engagement and alignment.Builds and nurtures an organizational culture that values open, honest communication and a strong commitment to first-time quality.Acts as the primary escalation point for team issues or challenges, demonstrating the ability to triage and de-escalate conflicts efficiently with all impacted parties.Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by deploying enterprise best practices and driving employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction, and customer satisfaction.Collaborates across organizational and functional boundaries with management partners to execute programs, drive improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively enhance first-time quality.Ensures effective communication across teams and leadership levels regarding strategies, project execution, risks, and mitigation plans.Leads and supports continuous improvement efforts that encourage innovative solutions to advance Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) execution and address constraints with effective solution paths.Provides education, coaching, and support to ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and terfaces and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support and promote the development and health of NDT skill improvement initiatives.Holds responsibility and accountability for NDT quality program management and leadership, including resourcing, staffing, program quality integration related to NDT requirements, and overall quality oversight.Collaborates with Operations, Quality, Engineering, regulatory agencies, and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting component build, testing, and delivery. Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to ensure alignment and success.
