Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Seal Beach, California. In this role, you will oversee the accurate processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering a great opportunity for growth in the dynamic real estate and property sector. Responsibilities: u2022 Process vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency using JD Edwards software. u2022 Verify invoice details, including pricing and quantities, to ensure proper documentation and compliance. u2022 Enter invoices into the system, ensuring correct allocation to accounts and cost centers. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly. u2022 Prepare and execute payments, including checks and wire transfers, in line with company policies. u2022 Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions for audit and reporting purposes. u2022 Assist with month-end closing activities such as accruals and reconciliations. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment-related concerns. u2022 Monitor lien release documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. u2022 Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices relevant to accounts payable processes. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction or a related industry. u2022 Proficiency in JD Edwards software is required. u2022 Familiarity with lien release processes is strongly preferred. u2022 Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
