summary Job Summary The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing customer accounts at the site level, ensuring accurate reporting, timely collections, and effective reconciliation of accounts. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams. The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end close routines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and confidentiality standards. Essential Functions Manage and direct Accounts Receivable needs with customers at the site level. Ensure timely reporting of all Accounts Receivable information. Complete monthly reconciliation of accounts by researching and resolving past due issues related to credits, write-offs, overpayments, and underpayments. Coordinate the setup of customers in Accounting and Billing software. Update account status records and customer terms with pre-approved authority. Generate customer purchase orders through Accounting and Billing software. Clarify customer questions pertaining to invoices. Maintain accurate paperwork and job files to facilitate smooth transitions to other departments. Respect confidentiality in discussing pricing and other business-related practices. Monitor customer accounts daily to identify outstanding terms. Correspond with customers via email and phone to collect past due payments. Prepare AR aging reports for collection activities and progress updates for Finance and Management teams. Partner with Accounts Payable to assist in month-end close routines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or related accounting functions preferred. Strong knowledge of reconciliation processes and financial reporting. Proficiency with Accounting and Billing software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
