FTE: 0.500000 Standard Hours: 20.00 Shift: Shift 3 Shift Details:Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA),under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, providesdelegated age appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitivemanner. The CNA assists patients with the tasks outlined in theirclinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personalcare skills and basic restorative services. The CNA practices andperforms what was taught during their CNA training and certification orlearned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school forprofessional nurses. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safetyobservation. This job reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant NurseManager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty on each assigned shift.Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma orequivalent is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State of WisconsinNursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be currentlyenrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from anaccredited school for professional nurses indicating successfulcompletion of the basic nursing course which encompass all of thecriteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code and aminimum experience of one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the HealthcareProvider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 daysof hire.
