Mold Maintenance Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the MoldMaintenance Supervisor, the Mold Maintenance Techs are responsible forevaluating, maintaining and repairing of molds. Also completing allnecessary mold conversions. This will be achieved by maintainingHellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMScertifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, workinstructions and required documentation. Essential Functions:Responsible for cleaning all injection molding tools at the end of eachproduction run. Completely field strip mold according to PM schedule.Make repairs or replace components as needed notifying management ofrepairs or replacements beyond in-house capability. All work is to bedocumented in tooling files and computer databases. Test and repairproblems related to heaters, manifolds, and torpedoes. Other FunctionsMaintain work area and clean shop and equipment on a regular basis. KeepMold Maintenance Supervisor posted of any supplies/tools needed. Buildshipping crates for molds being repaired by outside vendors. Keep moldvault organized. Perform other tasks as assigned. Keep the ultrasonictanks clean. Required Personal Protective Equipment safety shoes areto be worn at all time during your scheduled work hours. Departmentmanager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on departmentspecific work instructions. All employees entering the manufacturingarea and other identified locations must wear the designated PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE). Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) is a condition of employment. Above average mechanical aptitude Ability to useprecision measuring equipment and tool room equipment (mills, lathes,drill press, surface grinders, saws to fabricate parts,) Aptitude forvery close tolerance precision work. Minimum 1 year experience in amachine shop or Mold Maintenance department with the ability to readblue prints. Work independently. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.Ability for daily and weekend overtime work required. Experience workingwith injection molding tools.
