Mold Designer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the Tool RoomManager, the Mold Designer is responsible for all design-relatedrequirements of the Tool Room. This will include Data management,stamping and extrusion dies, replacement components, new molds, andmanufacturing needs involved during tool builds. Essential Functions:Responsible for all data management based on Tool Room needs. Fullmold/tool design as required. Assist in tooling (project management)from conception to mold/tool completion. Ensure that all toolingforms/paperwork are being filled out properly. Assist in coordinatingwork with outside tooling houses. Attend design reviews as required.Other Functions Work with QA on quality issues Perform other tasks asassigned Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality ManagementSystem and ISO 14001 certification by supporting corporate policies,procedures, work instructions, and required documentation RequiredPersonal Protective Equipment safety shoes are to be worn at alltimes during your scheduled work hours. Department manager/supervisorwill cover additional PPE as required on department-specific workinstructions. Key Competencies Full mold design abilities, parting linedevelopment, and solid modeling. Ensure that all plant rules, policies,and procedures are being adhered to. Maintain CAD databases forreplacement components and new tooling. Ensure that all toolingforms/paperwork are being filled out properly. Assist in coordinatingwork with outside tooling houses. Qualifications (skills, knowledge,experience) Associate degree or Tool & Die Apprentice certificate froman accredited institution. Prior experience with CAD software required.5 years' experience in plastic injection mold design. Experience increating mold parting lines. Experience in stamping dies helpful.
