JOB REQUIREMENTS: Are you a fully or in-training licensed therapist whoenjoys working with adolescents and serving your community? We are nowaccepting resumes for a part-time School-Based Therapists across ourSchool-Based programs with the possibility to transition into full-timeProviding mental health services within the school increases access toservices for families who may not be able to go to an outpatient clinicon their own. School-Based staff go directly into the school to provideintervention, including: individual and group therapy,education/consultation for school personnel, and family therapy asneeded. PSG/CIP is a multi-service community-based social servicesorganization that fulfills its mission of helping individuals andfamilies to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic, costeffective and innovative programming responsive to the needs of diversecommunities. Ideal candidates will enjoy having summers off or reducedsummer hours. Part-time summer hours are available in addition to thoseassociated with the 9-month salary. Candidates should have an interestin providing services to students K-12 in a school setting. Those withexperience with working with schools and an understanding of familysystems, the effects and treatment of children and teens who havesuffered emotional trauma are also preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF OURSCHOOL-BASED THERAPIST: Assess the therapeutic needs of clients andcomplete formal assessments. Create and review client treatment plans.Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the child's treatment plans.Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergencyand crisis situations. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressingfamily system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues throughindividual, family, or group counseling. Organize and facilitatestructured group, individual and/or family activities. Provideconsultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.Coordinate services and maintain communication with all serviceproviders involved with the clients. POSITION LOCATION AND HOURS:Position is based at assigned school locations and may require travel tomultiple schools during the school day. Hours vary dependent on theschool hours of operation, but typical hours will occur Monday-Friday7:30-5:00pm. This is a part-time position with the possibility to moveinto full-time 40 hours/week with benefits, operating during the 9-monthschool year, with the opportunity to continue working part-time throughsummer months.
