As a Host/Hostess, you set the tone for our guests as you leadthem to their table for a delectable meal. With a prime location in Milwaukee's Theater District, SaintKate serves as a creative hub for the city, where every aspect of thehotel is inspired by music, painting, sculpture, and design. As a partof Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theaterenthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers. What you willbe doing: Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals. Answerphones and manage voicemail. Escort guests to their table, providemenus, and introduce their server. Maintain cleanliness of the workarea. Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions.Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed. Help with BEOs for privatefunctions. Perform other duties as assigned. What we are looking for: Noprior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in afriendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature ofthe concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providingpositive and proactive solutions. Ability to read, speak, and write theEnglish language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, andreservations. Maintain a clean environment and ensure area is alwaysorganized. Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menuitems and multi-task. Ability to move through a crowded room to seatguests. Ability to work POS system, Open Table computer and cashhandling experience preferred. Must be able to work a varied schedule toinclude days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work underpressure. What's in it for you?
