Job Summary This Reliability Engineer position will leadverification-validation test planning across all systems as part of theCurrent Product - Cost Productivity team within Engineering. Thisindividual will work alongside the Reliability Engineers within Vehicle& Systems Engineering as well as systems engineering or Subject MatterExperts (SMEs) to pull baseline DFMEAs and create robust DVP&Rs. JobResponsibilities Design Reviews: Co-lead design reviews with designengineers that focus on requirements, design & development activities,and verification actions. DFMEA: Coordinate DFMEA discussions andreviews for mechanical and electromechanical systems to identifypotential failure modes and their effects. Maintain and contribute tothe DFMEA database. DVP&R: Create detailed verification plans withappropriate test and simulation activities to ensure all designs meettheir requirements and specifications. Supplier Engagement: Engage withcomponent/system suppliers to oversee their verification and validationstrategies, development, and success during development and throughoutproduction. Failure Analysis: Participate in root cause analysis whendevelopment and verification failures are realized and ensure correctiveactions are followed and captured. Data Analysis: Perform statisticalanalysis on data sets related to test and simulation results to identifytrends and confirm design robustness. Warranty: Complete warranty datacompilations as needed and participate in current product qualityinitiatives. Metrics: Track critical reliability metrics and reportfindings to appropriate stakeholders. Process & Tools: Continuouslyimprove the reliability processes and tools and stay connected tosoftware tool suppliers to understand current capabilities andfuture...
