JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: The Medical College ofWisconsin's Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioneror Physician Assistant to support Neurosurgical Inpatient and Outpatientservices located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Froedtert Hospital. TheAdvanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of amultidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence inprogram administration, patient care, patient safety, research, qualityimprovement, and teaching. The Ideal Candidate will be a new orexperience clinician/APP wanting to be part of a thriving and verycollaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin(MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited toproviding direct patient care to patients in both an inpatient andoutpatient setting. Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM. Noweekends, holidays, or night shift. Hours subject to change pending APPcommitments, service acuities/census, and senior resident days off.Opportunity for further discussion regarding schedule flexibility andhours with the hiring manager. Location: Froedtert Hospital - Milwaukee,WI In this role you will: Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiringneurosurgical intervention in blended environment as a member of theNeurosurgery Service. Writes accurate and timely progress notes,procedure notes, and/or admission and transfer orders. Order, perform,and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, andappropriately communicates and documents information. Privileged toperform procedures beyond core as identified by the neurosurgicalservices. Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staffto promote continuity of care across the continuum of care. Attendrequired training and meets key regulatory requirements, including thoseof the privileging institution, CMS, and the Join Commission. Evaluatesquality outcomes for the patients receiving care of this team throughparticipation in the development of quality indicators and outcomesdashboard. Acquires information on the most current development andtrends in the Physician Assistant field and/or Nurse Practitioner field,through educational programs, in-services, professional associates, andcurrent literature. Works in both the ambulatory and inpatientenvironments.
