JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: Basic Function: This position isresponsible for managing and assembling tooling projects. 3) ReportingRelationships: This position reports to the Tool Room Manager. 4)Authority: This position has the authority to make basic tool and diedecisions. 5) 6 7) Responsibilities: (What should be accomplished) Isresponsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality anddelivery expectations of the customer Is responsible for assemblingtooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications andprocesses used will meet scheduling completion date Is responsible foractively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficientmanufacturing processes Is responsible for machining components usingstandard processes to required tolerances and completion dates PrincipleDuties: (Tasks) Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacturecomponents Assemble components into tooling Train/Mentor ApprenticesDemonstrates safe work habits Maintain a clean and organize work areausing 5S principles OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires thesuccessful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as wellas successful completion of a state indentured tool and dieapprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a nonindenturedtool and die maker working on stamping dies. Minimum experiencerequired: This position requires 3 to 5 years oeexpenenctt%llldmgprogressive tooling preferably in a metal stamping environment. Advancedmath skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawingsand ability to communicate are required. License or certificaterequired: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die.
