JOB REQUIREMENTS: Aon is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic TechnicalAccounting Senior Manager to join our global finance team. Thishigh-visibility role will be instrumental in shaping accounting policy,delivering technical accounting guidance, and supporting criticalbusiness initiatives such as M&A, consolidations (including VIEs), anddisposals. The Senior Manager will act as a subject matter expert,working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, andwill be responsible for delivering impactful training and communicationsacross the organization. What the day will look like Lead thedevelopment, implementation, and maintenance of Aon's global accountingpolicies, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant regulatorystandards. Serve as the primary resource for technical accountinginquiries, providing timely, accurate, and practical solutions tocomplex accounting issues raised by business leaders, finance teams, andauditors. Support the accounting for mergers, acquisitions,divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including purchase priceallocation, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration. Oversee andadvise on consolidation accounting analyses of new entities, includingthe evaluation and assessment of Variable Interest Entities (VIEs) andother complex structures. Provide technical support and review forsignificant or unusual transactions, ensuring appropriate accountingtreatment and documentation. Monitor and interpret new accountingpronouncements, assess their impact on the organization, and implementnecessary changes to policies and processes. Develop and delivertargeted technical accounting training to finance and business teams toenhance organizational capability and awareness. Prepare and presenttechnical accounting matters to senior leadership ensuring clearcommunication of risks, opportunities, and recommendations. Collaboratewith internal and external auditors, ensuring proper documentation andsupporting materials for all technical accounting matters. Championcontinuous improvement initiatives in accounting policies, processes,and controls.
