Description Job ResponsibilitiesCommunications and Content Creation Oversee the development of engaging and impactful content to promote museum exhibitions, events, and initiatives. This includes creating digital and print materials such as newsletters, exhibition descriptions, and promotional flyers, ensuring all content reflects the museum's mission, brand, and key messaging. Responsibilities also include:Developing video content, including interviews, behind-the-scenes looks, and promotional clips to support exhibitions and events.Collaborating with curators, artists, and various departments to gather valuable insights and craft compelling narratives about museum exhibitions and events.Producing diverse content for various platforms, including web copy, email newsletters, exhibition materials, and digital content.Writing promotional copy for printed and digital marketing materials to enhance the museum’s visibility.Ensuring all content is aligned with the museum's voice and values, while effectively engaging both internal and external audiences.Administrative Support Provide essential administrative support to the Communications team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow. Responsibilities include:Overseeing the logistics of travel & processing Concur reports for the departmentCoordinating meetings, managing departmental calendars, and drafting agendas for key planning sessions.Managing vendor communications, responding to inquiries, and preparing written and visual presentations for internal and external meetings.Producing meeting minutes, tracking and processing financial transactions, and onboarding new team members.Collaborating to maintain and update project management systems.Website Management and Digital Presence Maintain and enhance the ICA Philadelphia’s digital presence through regular updates to the museum’s website and online content. Responsibilities include:Updating exhibition, event, and organizational information on the museum's website, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Developing content for email campaigns that aligns with the museum’s broader communication goals and engages audiences.Collaborating with the digital marketing team to create multimedia assets such as videos, digital collateral, and social media posts that support the museum’s initiatives.Ensuring website content is engaging, accessible, and well-written, offering a seamless experience for all users.Contributing to ongoing website optimization by tracking digital content performance and making necessary adjustments for improved user engagement.Reporting and Analysis Monitor, analyze, and assess the impact of communication strategies and content creation efforts. Responsibilities include:Tracking key metrics such as website traffic, social media engagement, and visitor feedback to gauge the effectiveness of communication piling and presenting regular reports on communication outcomes to assess and improve the museum's outreach efforts.Collecting and analyzing feedback from visitors, stakeholders, and staff to inform future content development and enhance communication strategies.Using data-driven insights to refine strategies and ensure continuous improvement in engagement and outreach munity Engagement and Partnership Development Cultivate and strengthen relationships with local media outlets, organizations, and community groups to promote museum initiatives and expand outreach. Responsibilities include:Building and maintaining relationships with writers, bloggers, and local media to secure press coverage for museum exhibitions and events.Engaging with local community groups, including University of Pennsylvania students and organizations, to promote museum programs and deepen community connections.Identifying and fostering strategic partnerships with local organizations to amplify the museum’s impact and outreach efforts.Supporting community engagement initiatives by promoting programs, building partnerships, and helping to organize outreach events and collaborations.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Art History or a related field preferred.Experience in a communications or administrative role, ideally in a nonprofit or arts environment preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation for various platforms.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic website management (WordPress and BaseCamp experience is a plus).Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva) is a preferred but not required.Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Potential to work nights and/or weekends throughout the year.Application RequirementA Cover Letter and Resume/CV are required to be considered for this position.
