IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Pasadena, California. In this role, you will lead design efforts for moderate to complex civil engineering projects, providing technical direction and oversight to a team of engineers. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions for civil infrastructure and site development projects using tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. Advance your career by leading high-impact projects and mentoring the next generation of civil engineers with a national leader in engineering innovation.Principal ResponsibilitiesLead the design and analysis of civil engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software, ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.Train and guide team members in civil engineering software for modeling traffic analysis, pipe networks, and related tasks.Oversee civil site design and provide advanced technical oversight to project teract with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong professional relationships.Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet industry and client standards.Provide technical training, mentoring, and assistance in resolving field issues with limited senior staff support.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; contribute to research and innovation within IMEG.Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance, interpreting state and local design criteria for project needs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that achieve project goals.Participate in project interviews and presentations.Required Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) License required7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industryAdvanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specificationsAdvanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills for civil infrastructure.Strong training, mentoring and leadership skillsAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem-solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.Why Join Us IMEG puts people first—with a strong focus on career growth, work-life balance, and meaningful impact. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
