What IT Portfolio Strategy and Performance contributes to Cardinal Health:Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value. IT Strategy and Governance maintains multi-year strategic IT investment plans for assigned areas of the enterprise and develops business cases and internal buy-in from business leaders by aligning IT investment plans with business needs.Responsibilities:mpact Sustainable SavingsPartner with IT leaders to identify, and prioritize sustainable savings opportunities across the technology portfolio.Facilitate the outreach and ideation to mitigate gaps to savings targets.Serve as a key liaison to Global Technology and Business Services Finance and Indirect Procurement teams to ensure alignment on assumptions, timelines, and measurable outcomes.Track performance against savings commitments and provide executive-ready reporting.Performance Scorecards (Global Technology and Business Services + Segment Level)Lead the creation, evolution, and monthly delivery of Global Technology and Business Services and segment scorecards.Drive automation, standardization, and data integrity across all scorecard components.Partner with the Project Management Solutions team to enhance reporting capabilities and integrate continuous improvements.Develop materials that translate complex insights into concise, decision-ready visuals for senior leadership.Portfolio Management Tools, Templates and PPM (Project Portfolio Management) ImplementationServe as the subject matter expert for IT portfolio management methodologies, tools, and standards.Act as a core member of the project team implementing the new PPM (Project Portfolio Management) system, with a specific focus on:Project planning and ability to executeResource and capacity managementTool functionality and adoptionDevelop, refine, and standardize templates, artifacts, and deliverables that strengthen portfolio execution across Global Technology and Business Services.Provide guidance and hands-on support to ensure consistent portfolio practices across teams.Qualifications:8-12 years of experience, preferredBachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredHigh level of accountability and ownership; delivers reliably with minimal oversight, preferredStrategic and abstract thinking, able to translate ambiguous concepts into structured solutions, preferredAutomation mindset, skilled in optimizing processes and reducing manual effort, preferredExecutive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, preferredExceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financials, data, and deliverables, preferredFinancial acumen and comfort partnering with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and savings, preferredProcess orientation, bringing rigor, consistency, and repeatability to work practices, preferredStrong written and verbal communication, including concise executive storytelling, preferredSelf-prioritization and ability to balance multiple initiatives simultaneously, preferredExperience in IT portfolio management, project management organization, or technology finance-related functions, preferredHands-on experience with Project Portfolio Management tools, preferredFamiliarity with process automation tools (e.g., Excel automation, PowerBI, Power Automate), preferred.Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level:Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projectsParticipates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goalsRecommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsWorks on or may lead complex projects of large scopeProjects may have significant and long-term impactProvides solutions which may set precedentIndependently determines method for completion of new projectsReceives guidance on overall project objectivesActs as a mentor to less experienced colleaguesAnticipated salary range:$123,400.00 - $158,670.00Bonus eligible:YesBenefits:Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close:2/2/2026 if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
