The Environmental Services Director at Cedarwood at Sandy oversees maintenance, housekeeping services, departmental budget, and operational/safety standards.What will I do every day?Proactively manage the physical condition of the communityOversee landscape and grounds keeping maintenance & ensuring safetyManage vendor and contractor relationshipsEnsure implementation of Safety & Disaster Preparedness Plan, Policies & Procedures and regulatory compliance (e.g. licensing, OSHA, etc.).Procure new equipment, supplies, and/or furnishingsMaintain inventory of equipment and suppliesMaintain required records, reports, and equipment/supply manualsParticipate in all property inspectionsInterview, hire, train, manage and retain highly effective associatesPrepare a staffing schedule that services the needs of the community while managing labor and material costsExecute the apartment turn, apartment readiness, transfer, and move-out processes effectively and compassionatelyPerform other related duties as requiredWhat will I need to be successful in this role?Bachelor’s degree preferred6 to 8 years’ related experienceMaintenance Manager, Housekeeping Managament or Senior Living experience is a plusProficient in Excel, Word and other systemsMust have knowledge of Life Safety systems (fire alarms, fire sprinklers, Ansul)Vendor and project management experienceSecurity systems, apartment renovation contractors, landscaping, elevator, HVAC PM’s, Tennent Improvement work, pest control, GPO, utilities, etc.Be self-starter to manage Capital Budgets and Expenditures and manage projects from bidding to end of jobSpecial Requirements and/or Certifications:Technical training in HVAC, plumbing and construction with three years’ experience preferred, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or related trade.Must have knowledge of Asset Management, preventative maintenance, equipment inventory and Work order systems, showing examples of eachSales support with apartment turns & renovations, transfers, processing appropriate paperwork, setting expectations for rent ready apartments and unit punchWhat’s in it for me?
