Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute and emergency complaints, participating in administrative meetings, and supporting cross-coverage needs. The PA collaborates with physicians and mental health professionals, ensuring clinical documentation and treatment align with protocols. They maintain patient privacy and contribute to quality improvement activities. The role also involves emergency care coordination and psychiatric assessment support.10 Hours WeeklyEDUCATIONCompletion of an accredited education program for PAsEXPERIENCEPrevious correctional/detention facility experienceMinimum two (2) years’ experienceLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSUnrestricted current license, certification or registration in state of practiceMust maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registrationCurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS and PALS (where applicable) certification through AHADeliver acute and emergency medical care in accordance with protocolsConsult with physicians and manage patient transfers when clinically indicatedDocument all findings using the S.O.A.P. method and EMR systemsMaintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement effortsProvide cross-coverage and support psychiatric stability assessmentsWe celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We encourage you to apply!
