Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Loma Linda, California. This position focuses on managing accounts receivable collections from commercial clients while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will excel in resolving payment issues, maintaining positive client relationships, and supporting financial operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee assigned accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments. u2022 Investigate and address billing discrepancies and payment disputes promptly. u2022 Coordinate with internal teams to resolve invoicing and account-related issues. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, communications, and arrangements. u2022 Generate detailed aging reports and provide status updates to management. u2022 Identify accounts requiring escalation, legal intervention, or write-offs. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant regulatory requirements. u2022 Assist with month-end and year-end accounts receivable processes. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in finance, accounting, or business is preferred. u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in business-to-business collections or accounts receivable. u2022 Solid understanding of commercial credit and collection procedures. u2022 Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. u2022 Proficient in Excel and accounting systems such as Great Plains. u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively. u2022 Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. u2022 Familiarity with collections management and billing processes.
