No County Suffolk Street Address 8 Corporate Center Drive 1st and 2nd Floors City Melville State NY Zip Code 11747 Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:u2022 Provide remote technical support via the Service Desk for NYSIF staff and external customers.u2022 Address service requests and provide assistance to end users as it relates to NYSIF personal computing, both hardware and software.u2022 Image computers.u2022 Provide new employee onboarding support.u2022 Configure mobile devices.u2022 Support all ITS Teams with hardware deployments, installations and system maintenance. u2022 Create and maintain user and instructional documentation. u2022 Assist with the ITS hardware asset hardware inventory, including the maintenance of hardware inventory system data, participation in the annual Physical Inventory and hardware disposals.u2022 Ability to engage in good customer service skills when working with end users.u2022 Ability to lift at least 25 pounds. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:u2022 Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; ORu2022 One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Technology Specialist 1; or, one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include, but arenu2019t limited to: Program Aide, Office Assistant 3, Office Assistant 3 Calculations; ORu2022 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR u2022 One year of experience in information technology.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees.
