The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on-call rotation. Effective May 15, 2017, logical access to the AWS GovCloud region will be restricted to Amazon employees who are U.S. Citizens. (GovCloud may NOT be accessed from outside of the United States) Key job responsibilities These activities include the following: Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each Working in cramped and/or elevated locations Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation Work in an industrial environment Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts). The base pay for this position ranges from $55,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market.
