Database Administrator II

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator II to join our team in Richfield, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of PostgreSQL databases while contributing to automation and monitoring efforts. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on database management tasks and drive improvements in system functionality. Responsibilities: u2022 Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance. u2022 Develop and execute scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl to automate database maintenance and monitoring processes. u2022 Analyze PostgreSQL logs to identify and resolve errors, optimize slow queries, and address deadlocks. u2022 Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently. u2022 Perform regular database health checks and implement proactive measures to enhance system reliability. u2022 Provide expertise on Oracle business systems, leveraging experience to support integration and operations. u2022 Create documentation for database configurations, processes, and best practices. u2022 Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection standards. u2022 Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to optimize resource utilization and database efficiency. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in managing PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. u2022 Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and monitoring purposes. u2022 Ability to analyze database logs to detect errors, slow queries, and deadlocks. u2022 Experience working with Oracle business systems is preferred. u2022 Solid understanding of database security protocols and data protection practices. u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. u2022 Ability to document processes and configurations thoroughly for future reference.
