Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. Provides support and some supervision to regular warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. We take pride in offering a competitive wage and great benefits including: Shift: 3 rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday (11:00 PM u2013 7:00 AM) _10:00 PM start on Sundays_ Pay: $18.69/hour, plus a $1.00 shift differential Additional Benefits: u2022 Paid Time Off u2022 Medical Insurance u2022 Dental Insurance u2022 Vision Insurance u2022 Life Insurance u2022 401K u2022 Associate Referral Program u2022 $125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment Our associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization Major Responsibilities: Job requirements may include the following where applicable: u2022 Stage and sort products for loading u2022 Loads and unloads trailers u2022 Executes & provides process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor u2022 Expert in warehouse functions u2022 Leads & complies with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift u2022 Opens and closes dock doors u2022 Maintain a clean and safe work area u2022 Sorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas u2022 Pulling of manual dock chain u2022 Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets u2022 Move materials within the warehouse u2022 Package or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling) u2022 Electronically scan products using a warehouse management system u2022 Quality control u2022 Ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received u2022 Complete daily logs u2022 Communicate with associates from other shifts u2022 Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information u2022 Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs u2022 Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets u2022 Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber u2022 Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers u2022 Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed u2022 Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line u2022 Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department u2022 Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards u2022 Uses computer to enter records u2022 Prepares parcels for mailing u2022 Maintains inventory records u2022 Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable) u2022 Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from the warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable) u2022 Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor Qualifications: u2022 4 years of warehouse experience required u2022 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred u2022 2 years of supervisory experience preferred u2022 High School diploma or equivalent preferred u2022 Prior forklift certification preferred u2022 Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred u2022 Ability to learn and use proprietary software required u2022 Flexible to work overtime preferred u2022 Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions u2022 Ability to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required. u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. u2022 Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
