Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Cressona, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will support the Controller by overseeing key financial activities, including reporting, analysis, and operational insights. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making while gaining exposure to financial planning and operational processes, paving the way for future leadership within the finance department. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage monthly closing cycles to ensure accurate reflection of the plant's financial position, including profit and loss statements, capital base, and cash flow. u2022 Provide detailed financial analysis and guidance to line managers and the plant manager to support operational and strategic decisions. u2022 Lead planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for the operation, ensuring alignment with company objectives. u2022 Monitor and enforce financial policies, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance and safeguard company assets. u2022 Collaborate with the Controller on preparing financial and manufacturing analysis for internal management and external stakeholders. u2022 Conduct variance analysis and maintain accurate inventory valuation, reconciling inventory accounts and analyzing inventory movements. u2022 Prepare and analyze monthly reports on actual performance versus budget, providing insights and recommendations. u2022 Support internal controls and audit processes to ensure compliance with financial management policies. u2022 Assist with capital expenditure tracking and provide financial data for capital appropriation requests. u2022 Perform ad hoc financial reporting and cost studies to address specific operational needs or stakeholder inquiries. Requirements u2022 At least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a plant operation environment. u2022 Strong expertise in standard costing principles, variance analysis, and manufacturing KPIs. u2022 Demonstrated ability to perform inventory valuation, account reconciliation, and inventory movement analysis. u2022 Proficiency in ERP systems, including Oracle, and familiarity with financial reporting tools. u2022 Advanced knowledge of capital expenditure tracking and preparation of financial reports. u2022 Comprehensive understanding of internal controls, compliance standards, and audit processes. u2022 Proven ability to connect data to strategy, identify trends, and interpret business risks and opportunities. u2022 Strong communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights and influence stakeholders effectively.
