Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: + Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%) + Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%) + Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%) + Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%) + Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum + Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program. + Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist,or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). + Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). + CPR u2013 American Heart Association. + Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. + Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. + Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
