Shop Helper

Job Title: Shop Helper Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shop Helper with a strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail to join our machine shop. This role involves using a variety of tools and finishing techniques on aluminum and stainless steel materials. While finishing or deburring experience is a plus, it is not necessary as training will be provided. Responsibilities + Use graining technique to finish metals by brushing aluminum and ensuring all grains are in the same direction. + Straighten aluminum parts and ensure they are within +/- thousandths of an inch. + Apply honing technique to finish aluminum parts. + Insert stainless steel threaded materials into aluminum blocks. + Place metal parts into a tumbler to ensure a smooth finish. + Maintain a clean and safe workspace. Essential Skills + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Ability to use basic hand tools. + Willingness to learn proper finishing of machined parts. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Positive attendance track record. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Finishing or deburring experience is a plus but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a machine shop environment with a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime when needed. The facility houses approximately 20 CNC machines and employs 13 employees on the floor, with a total of 20 in the facility. The shop is versatile, capable of handling a variety of work types. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
