Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. - - - About the Role: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer In this role, you will: u2022 Perform duties of mission analysis, flight dynamics, test analysis support, requirements verification, and system design u2022 Participate in issue resolution and develop solutions to complex technical problems u2022 Ensure sound technical content and timely resolution u2022 Apply experience and/or knowledge of hypersonic flight dynamics, reentry vehicle systems, and trajectory simulation techniques u2022 Utilize MATLAB for system architecture design and data analysis - - - This position requires the candidate to work on-site full time. Successful applicants generally have at least 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline, such as Aerospace Engineering or other related field. Basic Qualifications: Skill Requirements: u2022 Demonstrated experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for planning and conducting system performance and simulation analysis u2022 Knowledge of system design and flight vehicle architectures u2022 Understanding of requirements verification Security Clearance / Work Authorization: u2022 To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen. u2022 Final Secret clearance is required to start employment. Applicants must possess a currently active Secret security clearance to be considered qualified. u2022 Selected candidates will be required to maintain a government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program. Desired Skills: u2022 Advanced degree in related discipline u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills u2022 Experience in hypersonic vehicle design and reentry vehicle systems u2022 Experience with navigation, controls, and guidance algorithm development u2022 Experience in requirements definition and verification u2022 Strong interpersonal skills u2022 Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with team members u2022 Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
