Within this role as a Component Engineer , you will be responsible for performing any of the following tasks: u2022 Participate in Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test. u2022 Participate in the selection, qualification, test and failure analysis of EEEE Parts. u2022 Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports u2022 Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization. u2022 Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors. u2022 Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements. u2022 Work is expected to be 100% On site. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related technical field u2022 Formal education or professional experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors u2022 Knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEEE parts u2022 Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams. u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Desired Skills: Desired skills : u2022 Masteru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study u2022 Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.) u2022 Experience participating in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR u2022 Basic understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications u2022 Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements u2022 Basic understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating and end of life requirements u2022 Ability to evaluate current and developing technologies for EEEE parts in complex design packages u2022 Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE parts u2022 Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.) u2022 Experience regarding the full life cycle of integrated circuits (ICs), discrete components, or magnetics (transformers), etc. u2022 Experienced in working with suppliers of EEEE components. u2022 Active DoD Secret clearance or higher Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
