Manager - IT Engineering Cloud Systems

Summary Statement: The IT Manager will be responsible for developing maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest technologies that could help the company to succeed. What You Will Be Doing: As a Penske Manager of IT Engineering u2013 Cloud Systems You will be working with and innovating Penske's cutting-edge Cloud environment with a team of industry leading experts. You will lead the Cloud Engineering teams and support staff through a diverse range of projects. You will be responsible for the reliability, performance, recoverability, and security of the corporate Cloud environment and the underlying team that manages and supports the environment. You will be keeping Penske updated with the latest technology and knowledge from the industry and implementing these changes across the whole company. Penske Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain and recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures u2022 Manage staff, including recruiting, selecting, onboarding, training, coaching, and supervising associate performance. u2022 Oversees team performance on enterprise projects by coordinating resources and aligning objectives u2022 Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights u2022 Maintain reliability, performance, recoverability, and security of the corporate Cloud environment u2022 Oversee daily operations of design, configuration, implementation, support, troubleshooting, maintenance, performance monitoring and the development of specialized procedures relating to the use of the corporate cloud computing environment u2022 Work closely with technical staff on best practice development and implementation. u2022 Ensure the functional, cost effectiveness and timely support of systems on a 24x7 basis u2022 Plan for growth and provide projections for business plan u2022 Assess need for any system reconfigurations and execute them if required u2022 Research and implement new open-source and commercial tools, technologies and methodologies u2022 Serve as thought leader and final decision maker able to drive team to conclusions regarding technical solutions u2022 Other projects and tasks as assigned. Penske Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required. If no degree, then at least 5 years of information technology management experience required u2022 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience highly preferred u2022 5+ years leading/supervising multiple enterprise level IT Infrastructure projects u2022 Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems u2022 Expertise in systems infrastructure and architecture, including: o Cloud Platform & Tenant Management - Expertise in Azure & M365 platform and tenant management - Follow Microsoft Well Architected Framework - Product and management of MS Entra, SCIM, Security Groups - Exchange, OneDrive, Proofpoint, Teams, AvePoint o Automation & DevOps - Automation, Availability Zones, Kubernetes - CI/CD Pipelines, App registration, Azure DevOps - Middleware & Application Infrastructure - Implementation and support of open source and purchased middleware products (e.g., webservers, application servers) o Business Applications & Integration - Understanding of MS Power Platform u2022 Strong problem solving and communication skills required u2022 Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment u2022 Required 5-10% travel u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job u2022 Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
