This is a clerical position which is the first line representative to the hospitals and surgery centers and is responsible for scheduling appointments and operative procedures. This position works as a team member of the clinic.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates the scheduling of appointments and surgical procedures accurately, recognizing the importance and relationship to patient careVerifies insurance benefitsObtains insurance pre-certification and authorization as requiredCoordinates and schedules patient appointments to include pre-op, pre-admit and post-op appointmentsSchedules all meetings for provider, including attorney and vendor meetingsMaintains, coordinates and manipulates provider clinic schedule to accommodate surgical cases, CME, vacation, court appearance, attorney depositions and all other meetings for the provider, using both Epic and MS Outlook programsRequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent preferredMinimum two (2) years of clerical experience in a medical environmentOur ValuesAs a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy.
