You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, MOT, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, traffic, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. Clients are turning to us for Design/Build and other alternative project delivery methods due to our successful track record in transportation design and construction District Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design Build Management team are driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects to manage their multi-disciplined design teams to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-driven engineers analyze root causes and resolve design issues before they impact schedule and budget. Particularly on large design-build projects, clients benefit from the proven processes and tools used by Kiewit to minimize project risk. Location This role will be based out of our Seattle Area Offices. Opportunities for flexible work are available. Responsibilities u2022 Lead and perform engineering design tasks and coordinate with CADD teams in developing plans, specifications, and estimates for preliminary and final design of standard bridges, walls, and minor structures (Culverts, Inlet structures, etc.) u2022 Identify and understand technical requirements of design projects and implement engineering principles to develop solutions u2022 Identify, interpret, and apply appropriate design standards and codes; ensure compliance with contract documents u2022 Participate in technical meetings and discussions; strategize solutions to complex or unique technical problems u2022 Identify technical differentiators and develop schemes for key project pursuits Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree or greater in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Masters Preferred) u2022 10 or more years experience in relevant structural/bridge engineering design u2022 Registration as a Professional Engineer in at least one state, with the ability to obtain registration. u2022 Strong all-around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles u2022 Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures u2022 Experience with Design-Build or other alternative delivery methods, preferred. u2022 Experience with seismic design and analysis, preferred. u2022 Preferred experience with engineering design software, i.e. programs such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, PGSuper, etc. u2022 Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes u2022 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. u2022 Strong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. u2022 Ability to travel as business requires. #LI-TSCOTT Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
