Description: WHO WE ARE Lockheed Martin: An Award-Winning Place to Work WHO YOU ARE The candidateu2019s designated work location will be in the Virginia Beach facility, but he/she must also be able to travel on an as-required basis to provide support onboard ships, submarines, and land based facilities as necessary. Selected candidate will be responsible for providing installation support of equipment including engineering modifications and upgrades; performing equipment/system repair; performing the assembly, integration, and test of equipment/systems, accomplishing cabinet level or cable/connector fabrication, and performing daily coordination and communication with IWSS leadership, integrated product teams, as well as other key program stakeholders and customer representatives (both internal and external to Lockheed Martin). Domestic and international travel is anticipated with assignments lasting between a few days to a few months in duration. Annual travel may exceed 50%. Learn more about Lockheed Martin's comprehensive benefits package ( Basic Qualifications: u2022 Proficiency performing electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate and resolve root cause problems within an assembly/subassembly in electro-mechanical systems. u2022 Ability to read, interpret, and work from schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, wiring connection lists, and/or other information/documentation. u2022 Ability to assemble detailed parts/components into an end product following work instruction. u2022 Strict adherence to Quality procedures u2022 Strong communication skills including technical writing. u2022 Proficient with Microsoft suite Desired Skills: u2022 Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. u2022 Technical engineering degree and / or military background u2022 Fiber Optic cable experience/certifications u2022 Copper/solder experience/certifications u2022 Maintaining/upgrading system hardware, startup/shutdown of rack components u2022 CompTIA, Cisco, Linux certifications u2022 Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products u2022 Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates u2022 Prior international assignment experience Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
